family life

So I arrived in Michigan late Wednesday night, with the intention of picking up my luggage at the baggage claim when I got here...oh well, my luggage had other plans, it wanted to stay in Chicago... I guess I couldn't blame it, Chicago IS a pretty exciting place, but luggage usually doesn't get a choice in the matter, so it arrived here on Thursday.

Anyway, it's been a great start to a LONG Christmas visit with my family. I actually haven't spent more than a couple of days with them in a few years, so this visit will definitely be a bit more relaxing, and I imagine I'll feel a bit more part of things in my family's life than I have in previous years...it's kinda cool actually.

On Thursday, I had such an awesome day hanging out with my aunt Jill and my cousin Jessica and their kids. The picture above is actually Sage and I checking out some cool animals in this months issue of Ranger Rick. Usually I see them at a Christmas gathering with our whole huge family, so it's not the same quality time as I got during that visit. We had lots of fun laughing and dancing, hanging out with the animals and catching up on the latest family news. Jill decided that I needed to keep a blog again, to let everyone know the day to day stuff that goes on in my life, so she GRACIOUSLY set this one up for me. I think that's her subtle way of saying KEEP IN TOUCH!! :)

Anyway, I'm sure there will be more Christmas news to come...but that's it for now.
